Supporting Canada’s next generation of mental health researchers

MHRC is dedicated to supporting early career researchers and students in mental health, and fostering an early connection between researchers, service providers, and people with lived experience.

Our one-year fellowships are awarded to post-doctoral fellows who have recently completed their PhDs to undertake a year-long project under the co-supervision of an academic supervisor and a community partner.

Through their project, the researchers will tie together their research with the end-users to ensure the project is tailored to and appropriate for that community’s needs, while integrating the insights of people with lived experience into each stage of their project.
