Barry MacDougall



Research Scientist, National Research Council of Canada

Barry MacDougall holds a PhD in Electrochemistry from the University of Ottawa. He held various senior positions with the National Research Council (NRC), including Group Leader and Principal Research Officer, Electrochemical Technology Group, Institute for Chemical Process and Environmental Technology. He was Adjunct Professor in the Department of Chemistry at the University of Ottawa (2005 to 2012) and served as a Visiting Scientist with the NRC from 2010 to 2012 (post retirement). Dr. MacDougall has been involved with “Chemistry in Canada Week,” sponsored by the Chemical Institute of Canada, giving presentations at high schools, and as Vice-President and President of the Electrochemical Society, Inc. has given seminars to young, promising electrochemists worldwide.
