Jordan Sherstobitoff is a Registered Nurse and Master of Nursing Thesis student at the University of Saskatchewan. During her Undergraduate studies at Selkirk College, she was actively engaged in Street outreach nursing, where she provided care to individuals who were experiencing homelessness and diverse health inequalities. Engagement with marginalized clients exposed her to a multitude of social justice issues. This ignited a passion for social justice and political advocacy within her community. Since, she has presented at municipal government meetings, organized overdose prevention events, naloxone training sessions, and spoke to topics such as homelessness and lack of housing on CBC radio. Hoping to continue her growth of advocacy skills needed to engage in social justice practice within nursing, she enrolled for a master's degree at the University of Saskatchewan. She works alongside Dr. Maina, her supervisor, to engage in research with marginalized communities in Saskatchewan.
