Director, National Communications (bilingual)

Andrew Ross is a bilingual communications and public relations leader with more than 25 years of experience helping organisations determine the right thing to say, the right way to say it and the right moment to say it. Based in Montreal, he has advised senior leaders across Canada through complex projects and sensitive issues, helping teams communicate clearly when the stakes are high.

Much of Andrew’s recent career has focused on healthcare. As Director, Healthcare and Life Sciences at NATIONAL Public Relations, he advised clients including Merck Canada, Sanofi Canada, TELUS Health and the Montreal Heart Institute Foundation. He also served as Corporate Communications Advisor at McKesson Canada immediately before joining NATIONAL, deepening his experience in national media relations and crisis management.

Andrew brings strong non-profit and community-sector experience, including his service as President of the NDG Community Council from 2017 to 2020 and two terms as a Parent Commissioner with the English Montreal School Board. His communications leadership has earned multiple awards since 2010, but what matters most to him is whether the result is useful, credible and human. He brings a journalist’s curiosity, a strategist’s discipline and a personal commitment to more open, informed and stigma-free conversations about mental health.
