Gustavo is a research analyst with over 20 years of experience bridging academic and non-academic sectors. Over the past five years, he has focused on mental health, epidemiology, and policy-driven data analysis, channeling his passion for scientific research into driving meaningful, real-world change. His work centers on developing evidence-based insights that inform public health policy and improve mental health outcomes at the population level.
Gustavo has authored more than 40 peer-reviewed articles and contributed to numerous policy-relevant evidence syntheses. He is committed to making data accessible and actionable, empowering stakeholders to make informed decisions that enhance public well-being.
His analytical approach is shaped by his early career as an evolutionary ecologist, where he studied how organisms rapidly adapt to environmental change-a perspective that continues to inform his research in mental health and public health policy.
Outside of work, Gustavo loves cooking for his kids, playing music, and birdwatching. His is also an avid Formula 1 and soccer fan.
