Ishtar Yakhnis
Administrative and Data Support
Ishtar Yakhnis holds an HBA in psychology from York University, where she developed an interest in social-personality and cultural psychology. She later honed her skills in data storytelling and both qualitative and quantitative methods through the Research Analyst program at Humber Polytechnic.
Inspired by her heritage and cultural experience as a Canadian-born Assyrian, Ishtar’s research interests include cultural identity, feelings of belongingness and mattering, interpersonal and intergroup relationships, and resilience.
Ishtar is pleased to support the data team at MHRC, where collaborative efforts are made to deliver impactful results in the Canadian mental health sector.
Outside of work, Ishtar can be found sketching, baking goods, watching soccer or hockey games, or enjoying a walk in nature.
