STUDENTSHIPS AND FELLOWSHIPS
Alumni and impact
A funded project has a defined beginning and end. Its contribution does not necessarily stop there. Our studentships and fellowships give emerging researchers an opportunity to investigate important questions, build relationships with communities and develop experience connecting research with real-world needs.
What happens after a studentship or fellowship?
Once projects are complete, we look at what the research produced and where it went next. That can include new findings, publications and resources, stronger community and academic partnerships, further research or evidence that can inform programs, services and decisions.
Impact can also continue through the researcher, including the experience, relationships and knowledge they carry into further research and their careers.
The profiles below share the results and contributions of completed projects.
Impact is a collective effort
Research happens through collaboration. Academic supervisors provide expertise and mentorship. Community organizations help ensure that research responds to real needs. People with lived experience and community members contribute knowledge and perspective. Funding partners make the work possible.
Our impact profiles recognize these contributions while showing what the research itself has produced.
Interested in partnering on research?
We welcome opportunities to connect with organizations interested in working with emerging researchers on mental health questions that matter to the communities they serve.
